About

I describe space, memory and emotion in response to place, in particular urban spaces and the built environment. I use a variety of media in my work, including paint, drawing, collage and printmaking. I love colour and my palette is often highly saturated and exaggerated.

My eye is drawn to architectural details and visual landmarks, colour and text. I record journeys and daily life in sketches and photographs and then use a viewfinder to crop and simplify the images.

My paintings and drawings create space to reflect on the rhythms of life and transformations that occur within an hour, a day and over the course of a year.
